Our Leek-based mechanical workshop boasts a full bodyshop, paintwork and restoration department – available for car paintwork, repairs and full restorations; shared with our sister company – William Thompson, Classic, Sports & Prestige.
Our bodyshop is available to customers in Leek requiring paintwork, repairs and restorations to their classic cars, all alongside the department’s sympathetic, period-correct repairs and restorations to William Thompson’s stock of classic, sports and prestige cars. Classic defender failed MOT, Ben Thompson Auto’s not only managed to fit me in last minute but managed to work through the full job list within the 10 days, took the vehicle back to the MOT garage for a successful pass. As well as some additional jobs.Several defender specialists have had the vehicle and were unable to identify / fix one specific issue I hadn’t even mentioned this issue but they identified and fixed without an additional charge! Car now drives better than ever all little niggles and issues I’d learnt to live with fixed.Excellent customer service, friendly staff, efficient, honest, and thorough.Rarely find an all round decent garage - highly recommend and will be using them for all future work. Already recommended to two of my fellow classic defender owner pals and will continue to recommend.

Cannot recommend enough!! First time using Ben and I’ll never go elsewhere! From start to finish he has been absolutely incredible.To cut a very long story short, I brought a discovery sport from a dealer and within a few months the gearbox needed to be replaced. As you can imagine, I was totally at a loss and petrified of costs and being without a car until it was fixed.Ben reassured me the day he got the car collected that he would take care of it and I didn’t need to worry. Well, he is a man of his word! He dealt with the warranty company, he kept me UPTO date with the process and replaced the whole gear box within a day of receiving it. No fluff and a totally honest guy with an incredible service.Thankyou so much Ben, I’ll be recommending to absolutely everyone and will never use another garage again!

I've used ben Thompson autos now for over 7 years, himself and is team have always been there to advise and always have repaired any of my vehicles to the highest standard you would expect . Never had any issues other than little snags but alway sorted as expected.
